Dr. Winterowd participates
in a monthly rotation of veterinarians that provide public education through
the WMT radio station the second Tuesday of each month.
We participate in a local
program with Workplace Learning Connection to provide job-shadow
opportunities for area high school students interested in a career in
veterinary medicine.
Our partnerships with
various rescue groups and the Cedar Rapids Animal Shelter have provided
discounted veterinary care to aid in pet over-population and helped to
reduce animal abuse and suffering. We have also created an educational
environment to help local high school and college students with their career
development in the field of veterinary medicine.
